We’ve put together a guide for travelers who want to squeeze as much as possible into their short stay.
Is 2 days enough to see Vienna?
We all have a question that – a beautiful city like Vienna in 2 days enough? So If you have more than two days in Vienna, it’s worth exploring other parts of this beautiful city. But If you’re short on time, a 2 day trip from Vienna is a great option.
You can easily see all the significant sights outside the city and return to Vienna before nightfall. So here I am going to share the things to do in Vienna in 2 days and places to visit in this beautiful city. This will make your journey more memorable and exciting.
Where to stay in Vienna?
Staying in the city center can be expensive, so it’s best to look for accommodation outside the city center. You’ll find plenty of affordable options if you stay at an Airbnb or hostel. If you’re looking for something more luxurious, several inexpensive hotels are in the city center.
We suggest booking a room at the Hotel Sacher Wien for 2 days. It’s centrally located and has a fantastic view of the city. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, so you can kick back after a long day of exploring. You can even take advantage of their on-site restaurant if you’re looking for something light after a long day walking around town. These are the reasons behind why it is the best hotel to stay in Vienna after a whole day’s travel.
How to go to your hotel from the airport?
Suppose you’re arriving in Vienna on a flight. In that case, your priority is to get to your hotel as quickly and cheaply as possible. There are several options for getting from the airport to downtown Vienna.
You can take the airport shuttle from the airport to your hotel (the most convenient option) or take a taxi. The airport shuttle is cheaper than taking a cab. Still, it’s only available for those staying at one of the many hotels near the airport. If you’re not staying in one of those hotels, you’ll need to take a taxi.
Taxi costs will vary depending on where you’re going. Finding a taxi that charges less than $40 from the airport to anywhere in Vienna or its surrounding suburbs is possible. Still, these are rare and may not be available when you need them.
How to get around Vienna? Public transport or Rent a car?
Getting around Vienna is easy—it’s just a matter of figuring out how. If you want to get around Vienna, there are two options: public transport or renting a car. We recommend renting a car because it’s easier and more convenient.
Public transportation includes buses and trams, but there are also underground train systems called U-Bahn and S-Bahn, which are both very efficient.
The main issue with public transportation is that it doesn’t go everywhere in Vienna, so if you want to get somewhere, that isn’t on the route of these systems, renting a car will be your best option. You can try KAYAK for a hire car in Vienna, It is best and affordable car rental option in Vienna.
